Van Tiem Elektro BV respects the privacy of all visitors to its website www.vantiem.nl, of its (potential) customers and of its other contacts. Van Tiem Elektro BV puts the safety and confidentiality of your personal data first and handles your personal data with care. In this privacy statement, we inform you about how our organisation handles your personal data. Personal data is any information that can (directly or indirectly) identify a natural person.

Which personal data do we process?

Processing personal data ranges from receiving and storing to adjusting, forwarding and deleting personal data. In any case, this includes the following data:

  • basic information such as your first and last name, title, gender, the company you work for or your position;
  • contact details such as postal address, (mobile) telephone number or e-mail address;
  • additional personal data such as date of birth, nationality and marital status;
  • technical data, such as your IP address, the device you use to visit our website and the pages you view;
  • personal data that you give us when you apply for a job with us, such as education and career data;
  • any other personal data we obtain from or about you or which we may obtain ourselves and which we use for the purposes set out below.

How do we obtain your personal data?

We obtain your personal data in two different ways. In most cases, we receive the data directly from you because you have provided it to us yourself. This is for example the case when you contact us via the contact form on our website, when you apply for a vacancy or when you make use of our services. Otherwise, we receive your personal data automatically through the use of cookies.

Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your PC, tablet or smartphone. Cookies are used, for example, to remember settings or preferences. On our site, we use the following cookies:

Google Analytics cookies

Google Analytics cookies allow us to measure and analyse the use of our website. We have limited the settings and use of Google Analytics to a minimum in accordance with the ‘Privacy-friendly Setting of Google Analytics Manual’ (dated 15 August 2018) of the Dutch Data Protection Authority. We have concluded a processing agreement with Google for the use of Google Analytics. In addition, we use Anonymize IP. This means that prior to sending the IP address to Google, the last octet of the IP address is pseudonymised. Finally, we have deactivated the option “share data with Google” and do not use other Google services in combination with the Google Analytics cookies.

If, despite all these measures, you still do not want us to track your behaviour anonymously, there is an opt-out possibility.[1] Google offers this option on their website: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/181881?hl=nl

Please note, however, that in this case you may not be able to use all the features of this website.

Social media cookies

We have also placed social media buttons on our website so that you can contact us via social media and/or share our posts via these social media platforms. When you use one of these social media buttons to link to a Linkedin, Facebook, YouTube or WhatsApp website, these platforms may place cookies on your computer. More information about these cookies can be found in the privacy statements of the platforms concerned. Please note that these declarations may change regularly; we have no influence on this.
